  • Leader in Me Program:

Empathic Listening, Respectful Speaking, and Synergizing with Others are essential principles for effective communication and teamwork. Empathic Listening involves truly understanding and connecting with others' feelings and perspectives. Respectful Speaking ensures that we communicate with kindness and consideration, fostering a safe and positive environment. Synergizing with Others is about collaborating, valuing diverse ideas, and working together to achieve greater results than what individuals could accomplish alone. Together, these principles promote strong relationships, mutual respect, and successful teamwork in any community.

  • Projects:

For Grades 4-5, students are working on Opinion Writing, where they learn to express their viewpoints clearly, support their opinions with reasons and evidence, and structure their writing using an introduction, body, and conclusion. They are also practicing how to strengthen their arguments using facts and examples while maintaining a formal writing style. Montessori materials and group discussions help students develop and refine their ideas before drafting their final pieces.

For 6th grade, students are focusing on Argumentative Writing, where they learn to present claims, support them with logical reasoning and relevant evidence, and address counterarguments. They are using graphic organizers to structure their essays and practice writing clear, well-supported arguments. Emphasis is placed on citing sources, organizing information effectively, and revising their work for clarity and coherence.

Both projects help students develop critical thinking, persuasive communication, and structured writing skills essential for academic success.
