Welcome to Bella Mente Montessori Academy. We know how choosing the right school for your military-connected child involves critical considerations and we truly appreciate the significance of supporting our military-connected students as they transition into our school. We warmly embrace military families and want you to know that our teachers and staff are dedicated to understanding and meeting their unique needs.
Location
Our school offers convenient access for military families, located just south of Camp Pendleton. We are only 9.5 miles from the Main Gate and 8 miles from the San Luis Rey Gate, making it an easy commute for your family.
Bella Mente Montessori Academy offers an authentic and accredited Montessori education for grades TK to 8, ensuring a low teacher-student ratio of 1:28 in general classrooms and 1:24 in the primary classrooms.
Our school utilizes a lottery system for enrollment. Families can enter the lottery to request a transfer to any school within the district during the designated enrollment period, or they may apply if they are new to the district, subject to available space.

The Bella Mente Team understands the unique needs of military-connected students and their families. We are here to help and support families with Counseling Support, even during deployment, Transfer of Records, Graduation Requirements and the following services:
Catching up with Curriculum Standards:
Our school offers a variety of services such as Speech Therapy, Math Support, Reading Support. Please contact us to know more about available services. Free tutoring and homework help is available on http://www.tutor.com/military.
Grade Entrance Age Variations:
Our Montessori program allows classrooms to be divided into multi-age groupings based on each child's stage of development. This flexibility can provide your student with the best opportunity to succeed within the context of a PCS or frequent moves.
Special Education:
To ensure a smooth transition with our school, our staff is dedicated to implementing a Child’s Individualized Education Plan (IEP) as soon as your student’s enrollment is confirmed, even before your family arrives.
