This month, our Leader in Me focus is on building strong relationships and fostering a supportive community through four key principles. Students are learning about Extending Trust by recognizing the importance of honesty, reliability, and accountability in their actions. With Thinking Win-Win, they explore ways to seek solutions where everyone benefits, promoting fairness and collaboration. By Showing Consideration, students practice empathy and kindness, understanding the value of respecting others' feelings and perspectives. Lastly, they are encouraged to take a stand for what is right by Standing Up for Others, advocating for fairness and inclusion. These skills empower students to be leaders in their classrooms and beyond.
Students in upper elementary are finishing up informational writing this month. They are learning to research, organize, and present factual information clearly and effectively. Through engaging projects, students practice skills such as note-taking, outlining, and drafting while exploring topics related to their studies in history, science, and other subjects. This work helps them develop critical thinking, writing fluency, and the ability to communicate knowledge in a structured and meaningful way.
