Principal

Mrs. Braselton brings over 15 years of experience in public education, having served as both a teacher and in various leadership roles. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Arts and a teaching credential from Pepperdine University. She has taught elementary and middle school students, specifically in 3rd, 4th, 6th, and 7th and 8th grade Language Arts. Additionally, she has mentored teaching credential candidates enrolled in San Diego State University’s Teacher Education Program and earned her Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction as well as her Administrative Credential from San Diego State University’s Educational Leadership program.


Most recently, Mrs. Braselton served as Principal of a TK-6th grade elementary school. Prior to that, she was an Assistant Principal at a dual language immersion elementary school, where she coached teachers and staff and supported the school’s language model.


Her goal is to maintain a safe and nurturing atmosphere where students feel excited to come to school each day. She is eager to get to know the Bella Mente families and strengthen the school-to-home relationship.


Mrs. Braselton is passionate about educating the whole child and providing equitable opportunities for all students to achieve their highest potential. She says, “I am deeply honored to be a part of Bella Mente and to be involved in this important stage in every child’s academic journey.”
