I would like to take this moment to thank each and every one of you for weathering this storm with us. Seeing staff and scholars make the best out of our current situation is truly a sight to see. That light at the end of the tunnel is now getting brighter.
I am happy to announce that last night, our board voted to reopen in-person instruction to the greatest extent possible beginning April 12.
To prepare for the reopening, please answer the final Learning Model Survey for the remainder of the school year. We ask that you respond to the survey by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 12.
Based on the number of scholars who would like to attend in-person, we will plan a learning model that allows all scholars to return to in-person learning who choose to do so. An additional email with scholar schedules will be sent by March 26th.
To accommodate the necessary planning, training, and preparations to return to on-campus, the board also adopted to amend the school calendar. Scholars now have two weeks of spring break instead of one, extending from March 29- April 2 to March 29- April 9, with scholars returning to class on April 12. The board also agreed to vote at a later date on an optional extended school year to help scholars with learning loss.

I know this is a lot of information and a quick turnaround.
Principal McQuestion and I will be available for questions at the next Answers with McQuestion sessions on Thursday, March 11th.
We are excited about the prospect of getting back to campus and seeing our scholars. While many of you are just as excited, we do know that some families will prefer to remain online. To these families, please rest assured that we are here to support you as well!
