Week 9: 10/12 – 10/16/2020

Dear Bella Mente Families,

Bella has had a very busy week! Monday our teachers participated in an ALEKS workshop. I attended as well and I am truly amazed by the ALEKS program. We learned many new things and ways to assist our students. Our Primary teachers participated in an IXL training, which they said was extremely helpful. We are all learners! Young and not so young :).

We are limiting who is working on campus due to Covid-19, so phone calls are going to our voicemail system which is being monitored daily by staff who are offsite. Please leave detailed contact information when you call so your phone call can be returned quickly. Thank you for your cooperation!

Please join us in supporting your children with the Leader in Me program. Leader in Me (LiM) is an evidence-based, comprehensive-school improvement model—developed in partnership with educators—that empowers students with the leadership and life skills they need to thrive in the 21st century. Instead of focusing on academic measures alone, Leader in Me embodies a holistic approach to education, redefining how schools measure success. This approach empowers educators with effective practices and tools to:

  • teach LEADERSHIP to every student,
  • create a CULTURE of student empowerment,
  • and align systems to drive results in ACADEMICS.

I want to invite you to take a survey created by LiM – Measurable Results Assessment. We take your input seriously and completing this survey will assist in our support of your student. https://www.leaderinme.com/s/bella-mente-montessori-academy/parent

As always, we at Bella want to thank you for your trust, patience, and kindness as we work together to make this a great year for all!

Enjoy your weekend and stay safe and healthy!

It is not true that I invented what is called the Montessori Method… I have studied the child; I have taken what the child has given me and expressed it, and that is what is called the Montessori Method.
