Week 21: 01/25 – 01/29/2021

Chromebook Alert - For best performance turn off nightly and leave plugged in.

Dear Bella Mente Families,

I hope you are all staying dry on this rainy day!

I want to thank all of you that attended our Parent Workshop. Mr. Chalmers did a great job  sharing strategies for parents to assist students with time management and virtual learning. Thank you Mr. C and Ms. Ramirez for interpreting!

I hope you found Parent/Teacher conferences helpful! It is so beneficial for parents and teachers to keep up that communication! I know our teachers enjoy meeting with you!

Thank you for choosing Bella as your School of Choice! I know last week was School Choice Week and Kindness Week, let’s keep the kindness going! We all need a little extra during this time!

We canceled Primary and  Middle School Art supply pickup due to weather conditions. It has been rescheduled for next Friday.

I have spoken to several parents this week and the one phrase I heard used was, “I feel like a failure.” Raising children, as we all know, is one of the hardest things we as parents will ever do. The Pandemic has made that even more difficult for so many reasons. Please hear me when I say that you are not a failure in any way. Raising and teaching children is not easy. As I have always said, “it takes a village” which might sound cliche, but it is true. You are doing an excellent job and your children are going to look back at this time and appreciate what you have done for them! Speaking from experience, they might be 30 before that happens, but it will!

One thing that will really assist your child in learning is attendance. As I reviewed all report cards this last week, I noticed a trend. Students who are doing well have good attendance, students who are struggling have poor to chronic attendance issues. Students have to attend to learn. If you are having any connectivity or device issues, please let us know immediately so we can help you work through them. We are a TEAM in this learning community!

As always, we at Bella want to thank you for your trust, patience, and kindness as we work together to make this a great year for all!

Enjoy and stay safe and healthy!
