Principal’s Message – Week 14

Dear Bella Families,

Happy Thursday! Our scholars have had an eventful week. Here are some highlights:

Monday, November 15th Lower and Upper Scholars from our Read-A-Thon event enjoyed a nice lunch in the garden with me, sharing stories and talking about ways they would like to see the school grow. These Scholars earned this lunch by raising over 100 dollars and/or reading over a thousand minutes! Scholars who raised over 250 dollars earned their very own Pizza party today.

In honor of Spirit week our Middle School Student Council sponsored a Sweater Weather Day on Wednesday. Scholars came dressed in their most comfortable, coolest sweaters! Today we took things to the Wild Wild West and celebrated Country Western Spirit Day. There was no lack of blue jeans, flannel shirts and we even had a few 10-gallon cowboy hats around campus. Things got even better as Scholars were treated to a live BMX performance out on the field. BMX riders performed some crazy tricks that left Scholars thrilled and entertained throughout the whole show.

Today, Bella Mente also participated in our very own Community Outreach Food Distribution that helped provide food for families within our community. These bags included some very essential items such as pasta, beans, cereal and other canned goods to help ease the need for food for the Thanksgiving holiday.

School will be closed Friday, November 19th through the 26th. Please enjoy your Thanksgiving break, have fun and stay safe! I am extremely grateful for each of our Bella Families and Staff Members! Go Leopards!
