Dear Bella Families,
Happy Friday! Today I had the pleasure of meeting scholars in our Primary classes who earned lunch with the Principal during the Read-A-Thon! Also today, to keep cool during the heatwave, all of our scholars enjoyed a popsicle party during their lunch time.
Our scholars had a busy week. Here are some highlights:
In art, scholars used watercolor to do leaf paintings… they used an actual leaf! A special thank you to our families for donating to Ms. Uribe, our art teachers’, Donors Choose, which has already raised over $400 for art supplies and is now fully funded.
In our Garden/Nutrition class, scholars were dismantling/reconstructing our garden area. Thanks to a generous grant from Big Green JumpStart, a new fence will be installed over Thanksgiving Break. In class, scholars made apple snack wedges and lemonades.
Our PE teacher, Alex Morgan, has been instructing scholars on body movements while playing “scooter locomotives.”
In Primary, scholars dyed popcorn and made seasonal mosaics and gratitude leaves.
In LE scholars studied South America and wrote essays about Machu Picchu in Peru.
In UE scholars were learning multi digit multiplication in math and played the math game “Multiplication Showdown.”
In Middle School, during their History class, scholars studied the 6 Eras of Japanese history and the 1812 War.
Have a great weekend! Go Leopards!
