PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

Hello Bella Mente Leopards,

We hope you all are having a wonderful weekend! 

Coming up this week at Bella Mente: 

  • Monday, October 31st, Bella Mente is having it’s annual Costume Parade! Make sure your scholar comes dressed to impress! 
    • Win a Best Cosumte Award!!  A FREE DRESS DAY pass will be warded to one scholar from each grade level.
  • After School Dance Class starts Monday, October 31st with Ms. Eleanor!
    • Primary Monday & Friday, 2:50-3:50 PM 
    • Lower Elementary Tuesdays, 3:05-4:05 PM 
    • Upper Elementary Wednesdays, 3:15-4:15 PM 
    • Middle School Thursdays, 3:25-4:25 pm   
  • Make-Up Picture day: Tuesday, November 1st. Order on mylifetouch.com with your Picture Day ID: EVT3QGRQQ
  • Glow Stick Party: Friday, November 4th. Scholars who achieved perfect attendance through the month of October will have the honor of attending a Glow-Stick dance party just for them in the MPR during their recess period.

Other important dates coming in the month of November: 

  • Monthly Dine Out Event- Panda Express, 11/16 (moved from 11/4)
  • Movie Under The Stars- Thursday, 11/10 (moved from 11/11 due to the Holiday weekend) 
  • Coffee Mingle with the Leadership Team- Thursday, 11/17
  • Country Western Dress Day- Thursday, 11/17
  • Parents Night Out- Thursday, 11/17 (moved from 11/18 due to the Holiday weekend)
  • Fall Break/No School- Friday, 11/18 – 11/25

When your scholar is absent from school, please complete Independent Study. Benefits to completing an Independent Study:

  • Your scholar keeps up with class work and the important skills learned during their absence
  • The absence is eliminated from your scholar’s attendance record 
  • Allows your scholars to have a 96% or above attendance rate which is required to participate in Bella Mente after school clubs.
  • Counts towards perfect attendance to participate in our monthly Glow Stick Party

Looking to become a Parent Volunteer? Please take a moment to fill out the Parent Volunteer forms located on our school website. Returning volunteers must complete all of the forms and online training.

Lost and Found 

Be sure to remind your scholar if they have lost sweaters, jackets, lunch boxes or water bottles to please check their classrooms and the lost and found located next to the MPR entrance. Unclaimed items will be donated at the end of the month.

Message From Eleanor Keane Dance Teacher

Hello BMA Families! 

My name is Ms. Eleanor and I’m so excited to work with your children in the Dance Program! I have been dancing since the age of two and have competed up until high school with a studio. In high school, I was the captain of the Varsity Dance Team, Show Choir, and did Musical Theater. I’ve won many awards throughout my dance journey. As much as it is fun to win awards, I’ve always loved what dance brings to the table for people. It isn’t always about winning, it is about how you feel and how you can dance through that. It is a beautiful thing to be a part of and has made me realize I wanted to share the love of dancing with others. Once I graduated high school, I got the opportunity to coach a high school dance team, which I did for six years. I got the chance to train these students to get to the varsity level and loved every minute of it! I’ve taught dance at summer camps, including a Girl Scout Camp, and the YMCA. I hope to have your students love dance as much as I do by the end of the year. My goals are to have students explore, create, and find themselves through dance and enjoy the process!
