On behalf of the entire Bella Mente team, we wish you all happy holidays.
To say 2020 has been a challenge would be an understatement. The global pandemic upended our lives. Routines were thrown out; traditions were missed; and our classes were forced to go online.
Even with the challenges and loss we faced, I still look forward to 2021 with hope and optimism. With the release of the vaccines, there is a light at the end of the tunnel – we just have to keep pushing forward.
Our school has already shown that, in the face of adversity, we can come together for each other. I am thankful for our teachers and staff who worked tirelessly to support our students. And, I am incredibly grateful to our families who understandably have been discouraged but adapted and made the best out of our situation.
As a charter school, we are a school of choice and we are grateful to all of you for choosing us. This year, we have an even deeper appreciation for all the work you have put into your child’s education and thankful for your commitment to our school.
We will continue to monitor the situation and work with local health and education officials as we look at reopening. However, with the current stay-at-home order and tier level, we are not allowed to reopen for in-person learning. Depending on conditions, we may need to delay our in-person learning start date.
Enjoy the winter break but please remember to follow the county’s health recommendations. Minimize your travel and limit gatherings to people in your household. COVID-19 cases continue to rise and ICUs are near capacity.
Have a wonderful holiday and a happy new year. Stay safe. We look forward to seeing students virtually on Wednesday, January 6, 2021.
