Dear Parents:
Thank you for your patience as we navigate our new robust and rigorous distance learning program. The health and safety of our staff and students is our top priority. The decision to physically reopen our campus to students and others will only be made when we can ensure our campus can provide a healthy learning environment for all. Currently through our distance learning program, our staff is providing our students with a high quality, equitable and inclusive educational program.
Together, your feedback will help us plan the additional supports your child needs to succeed in the 2020-2021 school year. Collecting stakeholder feedback, each California public school completes a Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP), which sets goals, plans actions, and leverages resources to meet those goals to improve student outcomes. These three-year plans are made with input from parents, staff, students, and community members, and are typically reviewed and revised each year.
Due to the pandemic and school closures this school year, instead of creating or revising their LCAP, schools will create a Learning Continuity and Attendance Plan (LCP). The LCP focuses more on how the school will ensure our students will continue to receive a rigorous academic program during the COVID-19 crisis in the 2020–21 school year.

The Board will have a first reading of this LCP, which will be part of a larger discussion on safely reopening to onsite learning. This is an opportunity for the board to provide their input and guidance. Administration will then bring a revised LCP and reopening schools model back to the board for a vote at a later meeting. The Board will also consider a potential target date goal for on-site learning.
