Bella Mente Montessori Academy is a free, public charter school, chartered by the Vista Unified School District. We are located at 1737 W. Vista Way, Vista, CA 92083 on over three acres with two school buildings totaling nearly 27,000 square feet including a 750 person occupancy, 3,100 square foot auditorium with a stage, a student library, and 26 classrooms. Our two-story building was newly renovated and expansion was completed in the winter of 2016.
Bella Mente is proud to offer an authentic Montessori education with classrooms limited to a 1:28 teacher/student ratio and part time classroom aide. Our goal is to receive full American Montessori Society Accreditation (AMS) symbolizing our dedication to the Montessori method. Bella Mente is currently an Initiate member of AMS. All of our experienced Montessori teachers hold certification from a Montessori Accreditation Council for Teacher Education (MACTE) approved program. Teachers in our school who do not yet hold certification are supervised by a trained Lead Teacher and are involved in continual Professional Development to ensure we are offering a high quality program.
