School Health and Wellness Committee Updates:

Our (LSWP) Local School Wellness Policy has been coming along and we will
meeting to go over final revisions on May 18th, 2017 at 3:30pm until 4:30
in the MPR and if needed May 25th at 3:30pm as well in the MPR. Thank you
to all the students, parents and staff that have contributed thus far
during this process.

Attendance Information Session

Attendance Information Session: January 31, 3:30pm in the MPR: Join
Families In Schools to learn how attendance is important to your student’s
success. This workshop will be filled with activities, brainstorms, an
opportunity to create an Attendance Success Plan and more.


Parent Advisory Committee

We are currently looking for Bella Mente stakeholders who would like to
serve on our Parent Advisory Committee. The committee will review our
Parent Survey results, assessment results and discuss any concerns that are
currently presenting themselves at Bella Mente. Meetings will be held
approximately 1 time per month for the next 4 months. If you are interested
in participating in our Parent Advisory Committee, please email Carrie

English Learner Advisory Committee

We are currently looking for Bella Mente stakeholders who would like to
serve on our ELAC committee. *The aim of each ELAC is to advise the
principal and school staff on programs and services for **English Learners.
The committees will advise on four functions (See tasks 1-4 on Master
The ELAC will also be used as a way to inform parents about school
processes **strategies to include students’ academic performance,
home/school communication, testing, *becoming involved in the life of the
school and developing leadership skills. If you are interested in

Open House for New Families and returning families who have students
promoting to Upper Elementary or Middle school. Join us on February 8 at
6pm for information sessions, school tours and more!

Lower Elementary: 11:55
Upper Elementary and Adol: 12:10

Book Fair: January 27- February 3 in the Multipurpose Room.
